Hey, I'm Sofia
Project manager. Parent. Expat living in Rome, Italy.
A few years ago, I relocated here with my family. What started as a temporary contract slowly turned into a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Began
Moving to Italy wasn't part of the grand plan. Like many international relocations, it started as a job chance and soon grew into something far greater.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, fresh expectations. Everyday tasks felt more burdensome than expected.
The Adjustment Phase
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of hands-on learning. Yet gradually routines took shape. We found places that suited us, met other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Created Sage Signal Copper
Most online content was either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism material. What was missing was honest, everyday family insight.
This site aims to fill that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in Italy.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site is:
- Real-world experience from living in Italy
- Centered on family life and everyday realities
- Updated when there is a genuine change
This site isn't:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- A sponsored-review platform
- Just another generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our time in Italy continues, and so does the learning process. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Rome or anywhere in Italy, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Best regards,
Sofia
